I waited for a response, trying to hear over my rumbling belly. My God, make it stop!
A High Elf stepped out from behind a tree, sword drawn.
"Are you alone?" he asked.
He had red curly hair, blue eyes. The expression on his face told me he smiled often.
My sromach rumbled as I nodded.
He grinned at me.
"Are you hungry?"
My stomach rumbled again and my ears perked as I nodded.
"Come."
I fell into step beside him and we walked for three hours, my belly rumbling non-stop.
Suddenly, the High Elf stopped and crouched low in the bushes with a hand on the hilt of his sword.
In front of us were a Percheron-Clydesdale Stallion and a Human.
